GRAND Illya

Since I was born in Ukraine, my native language is Russian. I use it on a daily basis with my girlfriend and my family.

I've been also studying a Master in Foreign Applied Languages - Trilingual Negotiation and International Trade (English/Russian/French) for 2 years in Grenoble. The main subjects of the program were the following:

Concerning my skills in English, I improved them after living 2 years in England. My first year there, I was studying as an ERASMUS student for a Bachelor in Foreign Applied Languages (English/Russian). The following year, I studied a Master in Translation (English/French) including the subjects mentioned below:

-    Linguistics
-    Subtitling
-    Advertising
-    Article Translation
-    Interpreting

I had also the great opportunity to share my language skills during my professional experience in Wine Business, where I was in charge of selling (French/English), website and information on product translation (French-English, French-Russian), as well as cave visits and wine-tasting events. Moreover, I practiced some interpreting in Russian and English in this same field, and for the French government.

As a Freelance Trilingual Translator, I have also done some marketing translation, transcription, and video subtitling in the pharmaceutical industry.

 

The other jobs that allowed me to practice languages regularly were: Touristic Guide, Hotel Receptionist, and Business Assistant.
